You should have and install Pro/ENGINEER 2001 or WILDFIRE or WILDFIRE2.0 before you
install PDX2.1 and your Pro/E license must support #208 feature(Progressive Die feature).

Install PDX2.1 till finish,
then

For Pro/E WILDFIRE or WILDFIRE 2.0:

if you have your own Pro/ENGINEER CONFIG.PRO file, you should open <pdx2.1 loadpoint>\text\config.pro with editor(e.g. Notepad) and copy all its contents then append these contents into your Pro/ENGINEER CONFIG.PRO, then save your own Pro/ENGINEER CONFIG.PRO.

if you didn't configigure your Pro/ENGINEER(No config.pro), just drop this <pdx2.1 loadpoint>\text\config.pro into any one of the following places:
A. your HOME directory
B. your Pro/ENGINEER working directory
C. your <proe loadpoint>\text directory

then copy <pdx2.1 loadpoint>\text\config.win to your Pro/ENGINEER working directory or HOME directory.

That's all for Pro/ENGINEER WILDFIRE or WILDFIRE 2.0.

if you are using Pro/ENGINEER 2001, you should do the following step,otherwise you'll see a wrong message box
" Startup of application 'Progressive Die Extension failed' and those wrong messages "Pro/TOOLKIT application '
Progressive  Die Extension' was built to run with a newer version of Pro/ENGINEER. " .

now please open <pdx2.1 loadpoint>\text\protk.dat with editor
find  string : \$PRO_MACHINE_TYPE\pdx21.dll
chang it to  : \$PRO_MACHINE_TYPE\pdx21_2001.dll

That's all.

PROE2001版本如果不能装的话，license文件需要换个高点版本的，这样再照楼上那位的方法就可以了。
