草图按轮廓的不同可大致分为以下几类：

1. 点草图

由单个点或多个点构成的草图。一般用来作为后续建模的基准。单点草图还可用在放样等实体特征中，多点草图还可作为草图阵列的驱动。

2. 开环轮廓草图

用途广泛。可用来构造曲线、曲面特征及薄壁特征等。另外，开环轮廓草图还广泛应用在各种特征中作为路径、引导线等。

3. 封闭轮廓草图

4. 组合轮廓草图

由多种轮廓组成的草图。用法灵活复杂。

5. 3D草图

3D草图不受基准面的限制。用法灵活复杂。

在同一张草图中，可以采用移动、旋转、比例缩放、等距实体等方法利用已有的草图实体来构造新的草图实体。同样，在不同的草图之间，也可以利用已有的草图来构造新的草图。

1. 转换实体引用和等距实体

在同一文件中，使用已有草图的全部或部分实体来构造新的草图。这种方法新草图实体与原草图实体之间是正投影关系，并且新草图实体与原草图实体之间存在着自动添加的几何关系。

2. 剪切、复制、和粘贴

使用菜单中的“编辑－剪切”、“编辑－复制”、“编辑－粘贴”或按 Ctrl+X 、Ctrl+C 、 Ctrl+V 键，可以在同一文件的不同草图间、不同文件的草图间剪切、复制、和粘贴全部或部分草图实体。新草图实体的形状与原草图实体完全相同，并且新草图实体与原草图实体之间不存在几何关系。

3. 派生草图

在同一文件中，选择源草图，按住 Ctrl 键并单击将放置新草图的面，然后单击“插入－派生草图”。派生草图的形状总是保持与源草图完全相同，无法对派生草图中的草图实体进行编辑，但可以使用尺寸或几何关系对该草图进行定位。

4. 草图共享

与以上方法不同，草图共享直接对同一张草图进行多次重复利用。所有共享草图的图标下面都有表示共享的小手。
使用方法：在同一文件中，单击已有特征中的草图，然后单击特征命令图标或从菜单中启动特征命令，创建新特征即可。
